Thanks to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, Environmental Physiotherapy will be featured prominently at the upcoming CSP Conference 2025 in Newport, Wales, from 21st to 22nd November.

On Saturday 22nd November from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM we will run a symposium titled:

Environmental physiotherapy and the workforce: Advancing sustainable practice

This symposium will examine the role of ecological thinking and sustainable practices in shaping the future of physiotherapy education and workforce development. Participants will critically reflect on traditional person-centred care models and explore how systems-based approaches can align physiotherapy with planetary health principles. Through interactive discussions and practical insights, this session will provide strategies to embed environmental sustainability into physiotherapy education and practice, ensuring the profession contributes meaningfully to global health and sustainability efforts.

This is a very exciting time for environmental physiotherapy in the UK as we celebrate the launch of the new CSP Environmental Physiotherapy Network. On Saturday afternoon at 2.15pm we will be hosting a networking session aimed at exploring what members want from the new network and how we can support progress in this area in the UK. It will also provide an opportunity to meet like-minded physiotherapy professionals and students and explore opportunities and enablers to drive environmental physiotherapy considerations in practice, research, leadership and education sectors.

Informal gathering

In addition, we would also love to meet and talk to you informally, be it before and after these sessions, or over a shared drink or meal during the days of the conference.

If we can get enough interested folks together, maybe we can even organise a social event on Friday, 21st November, in the evening, so if you are attending and this sounds like something you would like to be part of, please let us know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. Please scan the QR code or use this hyperlink to join our WhatsApp group for the conference.

We can’t wait to see you at the CSP Conference very soon!
